The back step of the moulinette

This is notorious for being overlooked : rather than crossing the foot over and leaving the heel of the other foot unturned , as you collect, pivot using contrabody motion to have both heels and feel parallel to the direction you will project your foot into the backstep/back Ocho .

This will helps you to 

  • not to collapse the back heel and also 
  • not to break the flow of movement in the moulinette 
  • Not to drag your partner off axis as you venture out rather than around him
