Check the flow, catch the eye of the leader closest to you, and when you get the acknowledgment, step in with your partner.
Don’t take more than one step back, if you must, try to take a back start perpendicular to the flow of dance.
Watch for the other couples: are we too close for this move? Don’t try to bulldoze your way as you feed your frenzy of excitement in giros and moulinettes! Be conscious that you are swimming in a school of fish, be considerate of the other couples.
